BRUCE Foxton was named by New Musical Express as the seventh most influential bass player of all time and is performing as part of From The Jam at Weston-super-Mare’s Grand Pier this month.

Bruce, one third of legendary mod revival band, The Jam, had been due to perform at the seafront attraction at the end of March, alongside acclaimed vocalist and guitarist Russell Hastings.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the concert had to be re-arranged and will now take place on April 25.

The show will feature a host of chart hits from the late 1970s and 1980s, when the Jam were at the forefront of the Mod revival scene.

Wayne Hadley, Director of ConciergeUK, which is staging the concert, said: “The gig we organised in 2018 was a huge success, and Bruce said he thought the Pier was a great venue. He asked us to ensure we came back this year, so we are looking forward to another great night.”
