A Falmouth restaurant has announced it will be reopening later this week as a takeaway.

Restaurant Four, based on the Old High Street, will be reopening as a takeaway service from Wednesday, May 20.

The restaurant will be operating from Wednesdays through to Sundays, serving the public fresh food from a diverse new menu.

Matthew Unwin-Springett, head chef and owner at Restaurant Four, said: “We’re really excited to be getting back in the kitchen. We've certainly missed everyone. Hopefully everyone enjoys the new menu; it's something a little bit different for everyone."

The restaurant will be “running solely as a takeaway for the immediate future", but will update everyone accordingly as soon as the government advises it of the next phase of reopening.

To keep customers and employees as safe as possible, the establishment will be following government guidelines with special measures put in place, such as only allowing one customer in the restaurant at a time with social distancing markers outside; all kitchen staff wearing masks and changing gloves frequently throughout the day and card payments to be used wherever possible.

Opening times will be Wednesday to Saturday 5pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 6pm.

The restaurant previously closed on the March 21 in line with government guidelines.

Since then the family has been enjoying time with their four young children and honing their baking skills.
