Coppice Theatre is heading to Truro city centre to perform a brand new walk-about version of their popular winter show Jack’s Frosty Stories.

The walkabout theatre, taking place this Saturday and the following Saturday (December 7) has three performances on each date.

The production will create a delightfully different way for people all ages to get in the festive spirit in Truro by joining Jack and friends to experience a host of brand new, wintry tales.

The St Day based company will tell the tale of how naughty Jack Frost is hiding and has taken all the Christmas cup cakes with him.

The show will involve meeting a host of Jack’s friends and helping search for him around some of Truro’s smaller city centre streets, as they tell you wonderfully wintry tales along the way.

Jack’s Frosty Stories will journey to the Snow Queen’s palace, to meet the Cornish Knocker with a secret wish, marvel at tales of sneaky thieves and wise judges, and, of course, tell Jack Frost’s own magical story.

The special theatrical trail for the six performances in Truro will go through Cathedral Green, High Cross, Tonkins Ope, The Leats, and Nalders Court with Jack's Frosty Stories being told along the way.

Performances, which last about an hour, are at noon, 2pm and 4pm are on both dates.

They start outside Truro Community Library (at the Union Place entrance), where ticket holders should look for the Snow Queen and her Elf friends.

Coppice Theatre will be using traditional storytelling, animation, puppetry and specially commissioned music for Jack’s Frosty Stories in Truro.

The shows feature Truro based performer, artist and writer Keith Sparrow as Jack Frost himself.

Jasmine Cole, founder of Coppice Theatre said: "The Coppice team are really excited to be working with Truro BID to bring Jack Frost to Truro and can't wait to invite audiences to share in this magical show."

The Truro shows are part of the Coppice Theatre Jack’s Frosty Stories tour this season, happening alongside their indoor performances across Cornwall.
