The Eden Project is celebrating its 100th ‘Eden Session’ this weekend, with headline acts including Nile Rodgers & CHIC and Doves.

With the century performance to be headlined on Sunday by the multiple Grammy-winning artist, the surrounding sessions are sold out. This momentous performance is set to be the highlight of what is hoped to be the greatest session season to date.

Rita Broe, Executive Producer of the organisation, said: “What a moment for the Eden Sessions! We are incredibly proud to be bringing back some of our favourite artists for this very special 100th show, headlined by our great friend Nile Rodgers. It will be a unique moment in our history that we hope will live long in the memory.”

This will be the third time Rodgers has performed at The Eden Project, after he made his debut Eden Session in 2013 and returned three years later for the BBC Music Day concert in 2016.

The sold-out line-ups surrounding Sunday’s performance include Liam Gallagher, Fontains D.C and The Velvet Hands, on Wednesday June 26, The Chemical Brothers and DJ James Holroyd on Friday June 28, Snow Patrol on Saturday June 29, and Kylie Minogue and Nina Nesbitt on July 2 and 3.

With such an eclectic, impressive collection of artists in store for their 18th year, Broe added that the Eden Sessions are “really excited to be bringing the Good Times to Eden for 2019”.

An extended line-up for Sunday’s showcase includes Doves, a Manchester alternative rock three piece again returning for their third performance at Eden; the London-based electronica band the Asian Dub Foundation as well as artists Dreadzone, Bill Jefferson and Backbeat Soundsystem.

Tickets to the 100th Eden Session cost £55 plus £5 booking fee and are on sale now through www.edensessions.com.
