THE Tolmen Centre in Constantine is presenting 'In Loyal Company' on Friday, June 28.

Bursting with energy and bold theatrical strokes, writer David William Bryan tells the true story of his great uncle Arthur, who never thought of going to war until the Liverpool bombing raids of the Second World War.

In May 1941, he joins up. Deployed to Singapore, his ship is destroyed by Japanese dive bombers and he is declared missing. This extraordinary true story of survival is a dramatic tour-de-force.

A spokesman for the centre said: "The show had a successful run at last year's Edinburgh Fringe. Highly topical in this time of celebrating the heroism of WW2 and garlanded with multi-starred reviews, we are thrilled that David Bryan agreed to bring it to the Tolmen Centre as part of a countrywide national tour, before returning to Edinburgh for a second season in August."

The show is at 7.30pm on Friday, June 28.

Tickets are £10 from 01326 341353 or online at www.tolmencentre.co.uk

Cafe Tolmen will be open for pre-show supper from 6pm – book separately by phone.
