THE Great Estate Festival is heading for Scorrier House next weekend and there is plenty to see.

1. Mexican Wrestling

Donning vibrant spandex and colourful masks, 30 Mexican wrestlers will descend on The Great Estate for an evening of high-octane mayhem. Promising nail-biting aerial manoeuvres and flamboyant physical theatre, this is an evening not to be missed.

2. Madame Wong's House of Wrong

Blending glitz, glamour, tassels, and tease, Madame Wong's House of Wrong will host vaudevillian showgirl Tallulah Blue for a weekend of classic circus, fire eating, and burlesque.

3. Victorian Sports Day

Requiring sportsmanship and athletic flair, The Great Estate’s official Victorian Sports Day will host a variety of games for all the family to enjoy including sack races, tug of war, croquet and three-legged races.

4. Dine in the manor house

New for 2019, Wild Wine Club will take over the spectacular dining hall of Scorrier House on Saturday 1st June for a four-course Portuguese banquet to remember. Sommelier Debbie Warner will be joined by Adam Banks, head chef, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall for The Grand Dining Experience that will blend mouth-watering dishes with a menu of carefully selected wines.

5. James headlining

Having sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, Manchester-formed band James are more than familiar with the UK festival circuit having previously headlined Glastonbury and Festival Number 6. Playing on Saturday 1st June, the seven-strong band are set to perform a combination of classic Nineties songs and new material.

6. Secret Gin Garden

Follow ancient pathways to uncover a tranquil, tree-lined garden filled with blossoming urns and fragrant flower beds. Here Tarquin's gin flows all day and classical music fills the air.

7. The Sanctuary

A glade of calm and tranquillity, nestled in a serene corner of the beautiful grounds of Scorrier House, The Sanctuary is the perfect place to unwind, relax and be inspired. From daily yoga classes, workshops, and meditation, festival guests can float away to another dimension.

8. Woodland Silent Disco

Nestled within a secret forest glade this hidden party will see DJ’s battle it out spinning the best in pop, rock and club classics.

9. Vintage Car Show

Car enthusiasts with a passion for classic and vintage vehicles can soak up the roar of engines and sight of beautiful bodywork against the picturesque backdrop of The Scorrier Estate on Sunday 2nd June.

10. Elvana

Hailing from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, this Elvis-fronted Nirvana tribute band have an uncanny ability to tear through Nirvana’s catalogue of hits whilst splicing in sections of the king of rock and rolls' finest moments. What culminates in an audible orgasm of overdrive & old school rockabilly.

11. Whispering Woods + Fireside Acoustic Sessions

Step into the mystical world of the whispering woods for a journey where stories and fables echo through the trees. Enjoy poetry sessions by day and cosy fireside acoustic sessions by night.

12. Grand Cinematic Experience

To mark the festival’s third anniversary, video mapping artists will bring Scorrier House to life with a series of vibrant and mesmerising light displays across the festival weekend.

13. Comedy Hours

Adult only Comedy Hours will take place on Friday and Saturday evening in the Hokey Cokey Parlour. Guests can expect performances from Daniel FitzHenry, Morgan Rees, Suzy Bennett, David Arnold, Jeremy Flynn and George Rigden.

14. Gin workshops

Come and learn how to craft your own gin using foraged ingredients from the grounds of Scorrier House. Matt Vernon an expert foraging instructor and wild chef from Cornish Wild Food will be leading this masterclass.

15. Playground

Let your little one's imagination run wild within The Great Estate playground. Here you'll find traditional fairground rides, bouncy castles, craft workshops, skate ramps, face painting, hula hooping and much more!

16. The Great Estate Tea Party

For the first time, The Great Estate will open its doors for an old fashion tea party in the grand hall of Scorrier House. Expect tiered platters overflowing with cakes, finger sandwiches, and scones.

17. Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show

Returning to the prestigious grounds of Scorrier House, the one-man party machine promises a night of ‘can you dig it’ attitude and dance-floor jivin’. No stranger to playing at The Great Estate, this high-energy show will undoubtedly have the crowd dancing to the very end.
