Long-time soundman and reggae producer Darren Jamtone is playing at Mount Pleasant Eco Park in Porthtowan on Saturday June 8 featuring Robert Dallas with backup from Cornwall's leading sound system, Pressure Roots HiFi.

The producer has worked with such names as Linval Thompson, Earl 16, Cornell Campbell, Little Roy, Luciano, Mafia and Fluxy and runs his own label, Jamtone Records.

Robert Dallas is a singer hailing from Jamaica. His first record, Tradition Man, was produced and published by Jamtone Records.

Raised by his grandma on the Caribbean island, singing was always his first love.

In the 80s he would follow the well-trodden trail of visiting the big studios in search of recognition, but it was not until he met Darren many years later that his talent bore fruit with a recording.

Pressure Roots Hi Fi need no introduction, with Rory at the controls, it’s an instrument with a heavyweight sound.

Sophia Medine, Mount Pleasant's bookings manager, said: "Bringing these three elements together, it's going to be a night of pure upliftment and vibrations."

Advance tickets cost £10 and £12 on the door. They can be purchased online at mpecopark.co.uk, or by calling the box office on 01209 891500.

Doors open at 7.30pm. Cabana Café will be open on the night serving a vegan and vegetarian supper.
