Many people have commented on what a lovely place our home is. They are right and we have been very lucky to have lived here.

The Avenue is a haven just five minutes walk from the centre of Truro so you can pop into town just before the shops shut, to the theatre, cinema or the many restaurants and bars. We have ample parking too. The Rising Sun on Mitchell Hill is a quiet stroll along the private road at the front, and is a very cosy, friendly pub for dropping in to. It also has great food.

The upper rooms have views of the cathedral and at night the lit spire looks wonderful. The house is extremely quiet for such a central location and because of the large gardens surrounding us we hear birdsong by day and the odd owl at night.

The Avenue has a very neighbourly feel and there are families and older people alike.

The courtyard at the back of the house has morning sun, while the large old slate terrace at the front of the house is in sun almost all day. We regularly eat outside and sit for hours in the garden as it is a real oasis.
