The property is built of local Beer Stone and is thought to date back to the early-mid 19th century when it formed three cottages. In the early part of the 20th century, the cottages were converted into one house. Fascinatingly, it has not been on the open market since 1896, when the three cottages were sold at auction in The Masons Arms and purchased by the owner of the popular public house.
