3:50pm Thursday 2nd October 2008 in Video By Alex Cameron
A TOTAL of 774 people visited the first County Gazette jobs and careers fair in Taunton today.
The event ran until 7pm at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton.
Among those dropping by were a group from the St Augustine of Canterbury School, Taunton.
Sharron Kington, County Gazette senior sales executive, who helped organise the event, said: "It's been a fantastic day. Exhibitors have given us very positive feedback."
Somerset’s Jobs and Careers Fair, in association with fish4jobs, was sponsored by Somerset Primary Care NHS Trust.
Representatives from 15 employers and trainers were on hand to offer advice and support, as well as looking out for potential employees.
The County Gazette had its own stand along with other local companies, including Debenhams, Viridor Waste Management and Pitmans Training.
