New guide published for Cornwall
The 2007 guide to Cornwall's premier tourist attractions has been launched.
Produced by the Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions (CATA), 1.2 million guides will be distributed over the coming months to a wide range of outlets - including attractions, self-catering and serviced accommodation providers and tourist information centres.
CATA membership is a byword in Cornwall for quality. The association currently has 39 members and each of those has to pass regular and rigorous inspections, in order to ensure the standards of service they offer to visitors remain consistently high.
"CATA was first established more than thirty years ago with just seven members," said Chris Curtis, CATA's recently appointed chairman. "Its aim has always been to improve the quality of the visitor experience because, as an association, we believe that Cornwall is an exceptional place and that its wealth of natural beauty deserves to be complemented by exceptional customer service. Tourism is a major income earner for the county and we need to do all we can to maximise their enjoyment."
The new guide will be on display throughout the county from now until the end of September when it will be replaced by the winter guide.
