King Alfred boxers pack a punch at awards night

KING Alfred's boxers proved they were a cut above the rest at their annual presentation night.

More than 50 members, families and supporters attended the evening at The Orchard in West Huntspill.

County Councillor John Woodman attended as both a keen supporter and because he chaired the Grants Panel which achieved a government grant of £1000 for the Club from the Community Development Fund to help renovate their toilets at their gym in Springfield Road and purchase some new equipment.

The club's annual boxing show is fast approaching on December 8 with a range of categories from young novices to more experienced boxers from across the West of England.
