BURNHAM United Reserves continued from the end of last season, with an even better start to the season with a fourth win out of their first six games.

The home team continued to dominate the ball throughout the first half but it was the visitors who took the lead on the half hour with a 35 yard rocket from the left side.Burnham were spurred on in the second half and drew level on the hour-mark after manager Alex Taylor had freshened up his team with Selway and Peake coming on for Broom and Hirons respectively.

It was a shot from Rich Cattell on the right side of the 18yd box, which Selway deflected into the net to level.And the winner came from an excellent midfield combination that produced a well deserved winner.

Cannard dribbled the ball into a packed box to cut the ball back from the byline and fell to Hardwidge who slotted the ball into the bottom left corner of the net to take all three points.Manager Taylor said: “I am so pleased with the teams start to the season and we have progressed so much, with a fight and ability to give anyone a hard game in this league.
