DESPITE the summer’s weather Elms LTC managed to complete all their fixtures, culminating in a very successful end of season tournament.

The mixed doubles was won by Connor Robson and Alison Kalwa-Cawser who beat Duncan Alexander and Eileen Rice 7-5.

The men’s singles championship was a very competitive affair with Neil Robson eventually beating James Lee 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

However, Robson and his son Connor were beaten in the men’s doubles in straight sets by Nick Butling and Richard Hardiman – 6-2, 7-5.

The Ladies’ doubles saw a three set match with Margaret Morse and Janet Waplington beating Sarah Bird and Nicki Nevell 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.

Morse went on to win the mixed doubles with Clive Sawyer, beating Nick Bulter and Alison Kalwa-Cawser 6-4, 6-2.
