OVERCAST and warm weather started the perfect day for the PSV match group’s match on the Hawthorns lake at Shiplate Farm.

With a slight breeze, conditions were very favourable for the Bristol matchmen. Alan Healey fished maggot to the far bank on the pole to win the match with 96lb 13oz.

First place went to Alan Healey (peg 11, 96lb 13oz), second to Chris Szakacs (peg 6, 72lb), third was Steve Burgess (peg 12, 69lb 12oz), fourth went to Eddie Wynn (peg 1, 65lb 9oz), fifth place was claimed by Adam Caswell (peg 15, 62lb) and sixth to Mark Radford (peg 8, 55lb 10oz).
