Team Lick Racing in action at Snetterton
TEAM Lick Racing from Highbridge went to the Snetterton circuit for the BMCRC and the ACU/FSRA British F2 Sidecar Championship round.
They went straight into the Club Qualifier and set a time that put them on row seven of the grid. The first BMCRC race of Saturday saw mayhem from the start as outfits swerved to miss one that was stuck in neutral.
We all collided with each other and the QEH Systems backed outfit took a beating from both sides. The race continued and Nicholls and Moore finished 3rd. Before the start of the ACU/FSRA British F2 race 1, they started from 17th on the grid and by the second corner had made up five places.
A good run saw the team climb their way up to fourth place.
On Sunday, a great start from the fourth row on the grid catapulted them into fourth place which was maintained to the chequered flag.
The main race of the weekend was the ACU/FSRA British Championship which Team Lick racing had to start from 21st on the grid.
The team got a great start and flew through the field to finish third in the ACU/FSRA British Cup series. In the final race of the weekend the team came home in fourth place for valuable points to maintain third place in the Championship heading into the final round at Brands Hatch.
The next meeting is on September 29 and 30.
