WEATHER  being typical of Bank Holiday Monday was very wet and windy making conditions hard for the 20 anglers in the match on the Main Lake.First place went to Julian Pinkett peg 3. 60lb 8oz, second to Roy Ede peg 15. 54lb 4oz and third went to Lewis Jones peg 13a. 51lb 12oz.

Silvers went to Andy Page peg 5, 32lb.The three section winners were Lewis Jones peg 13a, 51lb 12oz, John Hawkins peg 1. 34lb 4oz and Tim Lewis peg 6, 25lb 4oz.On Sunday, there were overcast, warmer and drier weather helped Johnny Page win his third match at Shiplate.

Fishing maggot on the pole, he bagged up the carp to win the match.
