Bridgwater Jupiter 41 Quantock 15 PREMIER side Jupiter were drawn against First Division side Quantock in the Knockout Cup Plate so Jupiter's expectations were high.

Excellent positional play and shooting from Amy Shaw eased Jupiter into a comfortable 22-8 lead at half time.

The second half saw timely interceptions from Hazel Hucker and excellent defence from player of the match Lisa Durant, to ensure Jupiter eased their way through to the next round.

Bridgwater Saturn 37 Bridgwater Neptune 27 BRAGGING right went to Saturn as they beat Neptune in a narrowly-contested match.

Neptune started very strongly and shot well thanks to Katy Cheese and Lianne Fothergill to take an 11-4 lead.

Despite good defence from Julie McClean and Emma Downes, Saturn started to show some form and reduced the lead to 16-13 by half time.

Saturn continued the fight back as Chris Durant and Dawn Fothergill accurately found gaps to shooters Rachael Selway and Becky Palmer to take the lead.

Good defensive work from Sally Haysham, Steph Carlin and Beckie Cowley set up Saturn's attack as they held on for the win.

Players of the match were Lisa Phillips for Neptune and Dawn Fothergill for Saturn.

Bridgwater Mars 30 Keinton 43 THERE was less joy for Mars who lost to Yeovil-based side Keinton. Mars started slowly as Keinton took a 13-5 lead and despite levelling the second quarter with eight points a side, Mars had to reshuffle their defensive players in the second half with Annia Holleran replacing Colleen Bartlett.

Mars' shooters, Sarah Perry and Norah Lewis took their chances well but the lead was always too much to claw back. Player of the match was Imogen Setter.
