WELL-KNOWN Yeovil Town fan Nick Burton is planning on running the Bath Half Marathon on March 7 to support a breast cancer awareness charity.
Nick, who works as a steward at the club on matchdays although his support of the Glovers stretches back to the days when Yeovil were in the Vauxhall-Opel League in the 1980s, will be running the marathon in aid of CoppaFeel.
The charity was created by a brave woman with one sole mission – to remind young Britons to Cop a Feel.
Nick said: “After being diagnosed at the age of 23, Kristin decided it was time to flip the switch on breast cancer awareness and bring it to the forefront of young people's attention.
“One in nine women will be diagnosed with the horrid disease at some stage in their life.
“CoppaFeel is all about getting the message out that the sooner young women get feeling, the sooner they become best chums with their boobies and the sooner they will spot any changes.
“By supporting CoppaFeel, you are helping to ensure that more young people take this important message on board and thus decrease the number of people losing their lives to this terrible disease.”
And Nick added: “I need lots of support as this will be my first half marathon - so please dig deep and donate now.”
Nick is hoping to raise as much money as possible for CoppaFeel and he has set up his own fundraising page on the Just Giving website.
