NORTH Petherton U-10s booked their place in the semi final of the under tens bowl in March after finishing third in their group.
The opening game against Minehead saw Jemima Turner score after just 30 seconds. Minehead came at North Petherton but the strong defence of Harry Graham and Lewis Goodchild kept Minehead at bay.
The whistle for full time came at the right moment as Minehead were looking good for an equaliser but the three points went to North Petherton.
The second game was a goalless draw with Heathfield Hawks, who Pethterton beat in the league two weeks ago. Both teams had great chances to win the game but the keepers were in outstanding form.
Sam Turner hit the cross bar with a curling shot in the third game against Bishops Lydeard Pumas but North Petherton ended losing 1-0.
The final game against Wellington Rovers ended 0-0 with both teams having the opportunity to take the spoils.
With only one loss, North Petherton finished third in the group and booked their place in the semi finals in March. It was a great effort after a slow start to the season.
