Wycombe Wanderers 1, Yeovil Town 4: Glovers to work hard this week

YEOVIL Town will be working hard this week to ensure that they can follow-up their great 4-1 win at Wycombe Wanderers with another victory at home this weekend.

Yeovil play host to Gillingham on Saturday and will be looking to chalk-up their first back-to-back win combination since October.

And Skiverton, speaking to the BBC, said he was taking a cautious view towards this weekend’s match with Gillingham.

“Every time that I think we're starting to turn things round and have a bit of form, we end up getting beat,” he said.

“So we'll be working just as hard as we worked last week before. We've had a couple of hard luck stories.

“We said that the way we were going to break this hard luck was by hard work.

“That's something that we've definitely done and it paid dividends at Wycombe.”

Skiverton added: “We've really stripped back our coaching and gone back to basics, saying "when the ball is here, you'll stand here". It's been monotonous this week.

“Rather than give them fun and games and coaching sessions they enjoy, it's been purely coaching points and key factors and making them enjoy the game rather than the training.”
