YEOVIL Town manager Terry Skiverton has thanked the supporters for braving the elements on Saturday and cheering his side onto victory in their 1-0 success over Southend United at Huish Park.
Horrendous weather might have put some fans off from attending the match, but a crowd of just under 4,000 turned up and were treated to an entertaining and intriguing game.
And Skiverton, speaking to the BBC, said: "For them to have come out on Saturday, I'd like to thank the supporters that did come out.
"They got behind us at the right times and they were treated to a very good game of football."
Skiverton added: "I'm very pleased with the performance today and the way that we won and the football that we played.
"I think that we're becoming a bit of a technical team and we're coming up against very strong sides and yet with our movement and a lot of our technical passing, we're causing teams a lot of problems."
