Bowls club seeks new members

A SECTION of Bridgwater Bowls Club is interested in increasing its membership.

The Bridgwater Visually Impaired Bowls Club is offering visually-impaired people in the area the chance to try their hand at bowls on the second Wednesday of each month and the club’s indoor roll-up sessions.

Starting in January, the sessions will take place at The Parks on Durleigh Road.

Anyone interested should turn up at 11.45am on January 14.

They will be met on the gate by members and introduced to the sport.

No previous experience is necessary and all equipment will be supplied.

People should bring a pair of socks as special shoes are normally required for the rink.

The sessions last for two hours at a charge of £2.
