QUEEN’S College cricketer Tom Hazell has won the MCC’s ‘Spirit of Cricket’ award for scoring a century against them last Thursday.
Tom, who is in the 1st XI even though he is only 15, will now enjoy a trip to Lord’s next summer, where he will be presented with a plaque and enjoy hospitality for the day at the Test match.
His innings of 108 was his maiden century and helped Queen’s to a thrilling victory off the last ball.
Hazell’S Queen’s teammate, Fionn Hand, was invited to train with the senior Ireland squad during their one-day internationals against England last week.
Fionn spent several days with the squad in Bristol and Lord’s, attending both games.
