BRIDGWATER men’s 1sts have just avoided dropping into the bottom two.

Devonport Services 2, Bridgwater A 1
LIKE the men’s 1sts, the 2nd XI finished 10th out of 12 teams – but 13 points ahead of the bottom two.
Still, a defeat to basement side Devonport Services denied them the chance to finish a couple of places higher, in eighth.

IT’S been a difficult season for both the men’s 3rds and 4ths in the South East 1 division, with Bridgwater B ending up 10th and the C side 12th.
The latter did not pick up a point all season and ended with a goal difference of -142, so they will hope to find their level next season.
The B team stay up, though not by much – they finished on 22 points, only one more than second bottom Sidmouth & Ottery B.

BOTTOM place, too, for the men’s 5ths as they collected three points during the season and finished with a 7-1 loss on March 18.

Bridgwater 3, Weston-super-Mare 0
THE sole Bridgwater win of the final weekend of league matches went to the ladies 1sts, who overcame Weston 3-0.
It maintained a three-point gap between themselves and second-bottom Mid Somerset, and it was good to end on a high.
The win saw them finish eighth, level on points with the two sides above them.
Sedgemoor Division 2
