TAUNTON Titans recovered from the disappointment of last weekend's loss to Barnstaple by recording an impressive 49-24 win at London Irish Wild Geese.

Titans took an early lead through two Gary Kingdom penalties, and although Irish claimed the first try of the game, the visitors responded with a try of their own as Dan Frost crossed - Kingdom converting for a 13-5 lead.

The away side sensed blood and Frost grabbed another try - again converted by Kingdom - before Stuart Persey added a third.

The bonus point try followed, scored by captain Alex Spurdle, and Kingdom added the extras for a 32-5 half-time lead.

After the interval Titans players Aron Struminski and Lewis Webb were yellow carded, and the hosts claimed their second try of the match, this time converted.

Conor Harbison crossed for Titans' fifth try, and although Irish grabbed their third, the returning Watisoni Vakalutukali added a sixth for the away side, converted by Kingdom for 44-19.

Again Irish replied with a try, to claim a bonus point, but the last word went to Titans, Freddie Fraser adding a seventh touchdown on the final whistle for 49-24.
