BRIDGWATER College has signed two talented footballers - Jordan Lovibond and Ryan Brereton - for the upcoming academic year.

Alongside this, both have signed for Bridgwater Town Under-18s team, who play in the South West Youth Counties League.

The duo, who have come from the Taunton District Schools Football Association (TDSFA), are joining Team BC with a sports scholarship after an impressive year representing TDSFA and also the County Football Associations.

Jordan Lovibond, who plays on the wing, has featured regularly for the Devon FA under 16 representative team, as has midfielder Ryan Brereton, who has been instrumental for the Somerset county under 16s, who are reigning South West champions.

Tom Sage, Team BC football coach, said: “We are delighted to have been able to sign the lads and start building for next season.

"They are both highly regarded and their achievements so far show that.

"The support they will receive with Team BC will be second to none, and we hope we help them take the next step in their careers.”
