THE drama of the Evo-Stik League South and West Division play-offs comes to the Viridor Stadium when the Peacocks entertain Swindon Supermarine tonight (Tuesday), kick-off 7.45pm.

The semi-final marks the third season that Town have been involved in the play-offs but the first occasion that they have actually played at home.

In 2006-07, Town won away at Paulton Rovers in the semi-final before losing 2-0 to tomorrow's opponents in the final at the Webbswood Stadium, whilst Town also lost out to Stratford Town in the semi-finals last season.

They will therefore hope to go all the way this year and take up a place in the Premier Division for the first time in their history.

However the first hurdle they will have to overcome are the Wiltshire side who finished the season in fourth spot, only two points behind them.

Supermarine approach the game in better recent form, being unbeaten in their final four fixtures including three wins although the two meetings during the season were both closely contested, a hard fought 0-0 draw at the Viridor in November followed by a dramatic 1-1 result in February when Supermarine took the lead with five minutes remaining, only for Jordan Rogers to grab an equaliser three minutes into stoppage time.

These results will ultimately count for nothing though tomorrow in what in essence is a one-off cup tie which will be settled by extra time and penalties if necessary.

Team captain Jamie Price misses the game due to suspension but Lewis Powell, who was rested for Saturday's game at Banbury and Brett Trowbridge who missed the last two matches of the league campaign with an ankle injury, both make a welcome return to the squad.

Manager Leigh Robinson said: "This club has never been at home in the play-offs before so it will be a big occasion tomorrow and certainly something we're all looking forward to.

"There's been nothing between the teams in the two league games this season so I'm expecting a tight affair between two good sides.

"Hopefully we can sharpen up our finishing from the last couple of games and give ourselves a chance of progressing."
