TAUNTON'S final racing of the season takes place this evening (Wednesday) when they host their Evening Meeting, where the first race on the card goes to post at 5.35pm.
With Derek Thompson hosting the event, the weather set fair, good going and 63 runners declared, including two 17 horse races Taunton’ season looks set to end in style.
All of the leading trainers have horses going on Wednesday evening including Paul Nicholls, David Pipe, Philip Hobbs, Harry Fry and Dr Richard Newline, while Nico de Joinville, Sam Twiston-Davies, Jamie Moore, Daryl Jacob, Aidan Coleman and Nick Schofield are all booed to ride.
To ensure that the going remains good Taunton Racecourse have been watering the course.
Punters are reminded that a courtesy coach service departs from Taunton Railway Station two hours before the off and returns 30 minutes after the start of the last race.
