Lympsham 279-3 beat Street 2nd XI 103 by 176 runs
A STELLAR batting display from Dave and Jack Luff and five wickets from Julian Froud fired Lympsham to a commanding victory over Street 2nd XI on Saturday.
Opening the batting Dave Luff scored 87, while at number three Jack added an impressive 80 to help Lympsham to 279-3 from their 45 overs.
R. Ford (45) and T. Gooding (37no) were also in the runs for the home side in an imposing total.
In reply, Street were up against it from the minute they lost W. Fear (0) without scoring to the bowling of L. Morris.
M. Evely (30) and O. Frost (33) top scored for the visitors, but they were the only players to make it into double figures as six Street batsmen failed to score.
Froud was chief destroyer with 5-29 from 11 overs and was ably supported by T. Ferns (2-18) and L. Morris (1-19).
Lympsham travel to Uphill Castle 2nd XI on Saturday.
