BRIDGWATER Bowling Club, now in its 107th year held its first PRO/AM Match last Sunday.
24 club members partnered 24 members of the public who were very interested in taking up the game.
Prior to the match the guest were introduced to the officers and were shown around the clubs facilities, which are some of the best in Somerset.
The game was most enjoyable with the whites beating the Blues by 10 shots.
There was some very good bowling and excellent prospects on show.
The players were later entertained at a post match tea.
The newcomers will be able to continue their bowling over the next month on Sunday Mornings and Monday Evenings with qualified coaches.
