Tribute Western Counties North
Bristol Saracens 26, Burnham 7
BURNHAM slipped further into the relegation mire following a disappointing defeat at fellow strugglers Bristol Saracens.
Beau Dickins crossed for Burnham’s only try of the afternoon, but they now find themselves seven points from safety in Western Counties North.
For the first 20 minutes, Burnham were fortunate to have both the slope and wind in their favour, but were unable to take advantage of the conditions and allowed Saracens the opportunity to make the first score with their old failing of trying to tackle too high.
However, Burnham hit back almost immediately - with the pack securing their own scrum, followed by two successful phases, the ball went out to Richard Muskett, who along with Stuart Blake, set up Beau Dickins to score under the posts.
Unfortunately Burnham conceded another try just before half-time - and then faced literally an uphill battle for the second-half conceding a further two converted tries.
Burnham are at home to Stothert & Pitt this Saturday, kick-off is 2.30pm.
