THE A Division title in the Bridgwater & District Ladies Skittles League is still up for grabs as the Mansion House and Lamb B N/P suffered losses.

Mansion House lost away at Lime Kiln by 15 pins, while Lamb B lost at home by 22.

In a close game at the Lime Kiln, the hosts had a fifth hand 59, sixth hand 69 and final hand 61 – too much for Mansion House.

Ali Bell top scored for Lime Kiln with 65 and Mansion House’s Sue Dennison hit 64.

In the game at the Lamb, visitors Harvest Moon A opened with 63 and 61, which saw them pull 24 pins, and they maintained the lead for the rest of the game.

Harvest Moon B returned to winning ways with a home victory against Globe B Cannington, a sixth hand 66 pulling 16 pins, giving the home team a 23-pin lead.

Chris Mattravers took the honours with 62.

The game at the George went down to the last hand. George, one pin up and with a final hand 64, left visitors Stockland a target of 66.

The final two players still needed 19, but Tina Miller’s 16 ensured that the visitors took the three points.

In B Division, leaders OVH lost at home to West India House by 27.

West India House hit a third hand 74 and sixth hand 69 to pull 29 pins, which proved hard for the home team to come counter.

West India’s Stephanie May hit 70, including a 17 and a 12.

OVH still require one point from their last game and outstanding game to secure the title.

Globe A Cannington secured a further home win and are certain to finish no worse than runners-up.

London Inn won by 23 at home to Lamb A, North Petherton, who have found this season tough, while King William also secured a home win, though the top score went to visitor Julie Lavis, of the Globe, North Petherton, with 63.
