TAUNTON Titans go into their second home game in a row tomorrow when they entertain Bishops Stortford. The winners’ prize will be clear third place in National League 2 (S).

The two teams are locked together on 63 points so the match is of massive importance to both sides.

The match, which kicks off at Hyde Park at 3pm, will provide the Titans with a test similar to the one they faced last week when they battled to a 30-17 victory over Worthing.

When Taunton visited Bishops Stortford earlier in the season the home side ran out comfortable winners and inflicted Titans’ heaviest defeat of the season – 35-20.

This was also probably Taunton’s worst performance of the season and the home side will be looking to make amends and show Bishops what they are capable of.

However the visitors won’t be daunted about coming to Hyde Park as last season they were the only team to take league points away with them when they rushed into a 24-0 lead at half time before the Titans came back to claim the draw.

With an increasing injury list, the Titans welcomed back Aron Struminski on Saturday to help them out while he was free from university commitments.

And he showed that he hadn’t lost any of his pace as he tried to run around the whole team from one side of the pitch to the other and very nearly scored in the corner.

Marshal Cormack came off early last weekend and the coaches will be hoping that he pulls through and that ‘Toots’ Vakalutukali gets the all clear to join the Titans again in a match day squad and bring his dynamism to the field.
