PETER Burrows won the Longrun Meadow parkrun for the second time on Saturday with a time of 17m 53s.

Ben Tull very close behind in 17m 55s while Third place went to William Nicolle of Taunton AC who finished in 18m 25s. First lady home, for the 31st time, was Hannah Taunton of Taunton AC in 19m 18s. Second was Lyndsey Hollands of Taunton AC in 23m 43s with Sarah Capstick third place in 24m 17s. On a cold but bright morning no less than 236 runners completed the course which had been cleared of its muddy section.

Sharon Davies celebrated her 50th birthday while one of the first timers was Pat Jefferson in the women’s 70-74-year-old age group. There were visitors from Bristol, Saltash and Dudley this morning, 23 first timers and 18 different running clubs were represented.
