GOLF: Midweek Stableford result from Oake Manor
AT Oake Manor the men held a Midweek Stableford.
Results: 1st Neil Blackmore 34pts (after countback), 2nd R Newby 34pts, 3rd T Blacklock 30pts. The results of the Saturday weekend Stableford on January 10 were: Division one – 1st Steve Barham 39pts, 2nd N C Jackson 37pts, 3rd C A Trott 35pts and 4th Christopher Flack 34 pts. Division two – 1st R Dakers 36pts, 2nd K G Phillips 33pts, and equal 3rd Nick Fenn, Pat Groody and Bernhard Reid, all with 31pts.
Tough members of the Ladies section ventured out on a freezing day on Tuesday to play a Stableford over 14 holes.
Results: 1st Jill Loader 34pts, 2nd Liz How 24 pts, 3rd Jane Harris 16pts, 4th Annie Reid 15pts.
