HIGHBRIDGE Town manager Matt Pitt insists his side go into Saturday’s game at third-place Worle as the underdogs, despite having beaten them 4-1 earlier in the season.
Highbridge’s six-game unbeaten run came to an end at Taunton United two weeks ago, but Pitt says his players will be ‘firing on all cylinders’ come the weekend.
He said: “We played Worle earlier in the season in a cup group game and beat them 4-1 on the 4G pitch, I am fully expecting a much more difficult game as they had nothing to play for in the cup game with us already through to the quarter final stage when we meet.
“We will go in as underdogs but I know my boys will be firing on all cylinders to get back to winning ways and put the last defeat against Taunton behind us, by taking the game to Worle on Saturday.
“If we play to our strengths and do the right things and don’t switch off we will be more than competitive and look to come away with the three points.”
Elsewhere, Berrow travel to eight-place Bishops Lydeard in Somerset County Premier – and in Division One West, Burnham United take on unbeaten Clevedon United at Coleridge Vale.
Burnham United Reserves welcome Uphill Castle in Division Two West, searching for only their third league win of the campaign.
