KING'S College booked themselves a place in the next round of the Independent Schools Football Association Girls Under-18 11-a side cup when they beat a strong Millfield School side.

King’s, who are the current holders of the trophy, took the lead through captain Katy Hanscomb midway through the first half only for Millfield to level the score after a defensive mix-up following a corner.

Hanscomb put her side back into the lead to leave the score 2-1 at the interval.

Then before Gemma Chilcott wrapped the match up with a fine second-half strike.

Chris Heayns, Head of Football at King’s, said: “This was the toughest game the the girls have played and a really inspiring team effort from the King’s girls was needed to see them through to the next round of the ISFA Cup.”
