Team Mendip Red Sox Under-12s 2, Berrow 1
BERROW travelled to Worle on Saturday to take on third-place Mendip.
Right from the start, both teams played some great, end-to-end football.
The Berrow defence of Sophie, Sophie and Caitlyn were proving to be a tough line for the Mendip team – but Mendip worked the ball wide and opened up the defence for the first time to score.
But Berrow weren’t behind for long when Fern struck another wonder shot past the keeper.
A slow start to the second half allowed Mendip in to score their second goal.
Berrow continued to push forward having the ball cleared off the line from a powerful shot by Charlie.
The final whistle went with the score still at 2-1, this was Berrow’s best performance this season.
Berrow’s players of the match were: Caitlin and Izzy.
Berrow are home again this week against Wembdon.
