COMBE Ladies won 3-2 at home to Wellington 2 in division 2 of the Somerset women's league.
Combe started slowly up the slope, allowing Wellington to score within the first three minutes.
But they dug deep, played well as a team, and equalised through Rosie Manning by half time.
The second half saw Nicola Brown score from the 18 yard box only to have it disallowed for offside.
But that was quickly rectified when Brown fired a shot through the keeper’s legs to put Combe in the lead.
With 17 minutes to go new recruit Alice King knocked the ball over the Wellington defence to set up Roxy White for Combe’s third.
With the clock running down Wellington gain a free kick outside the box and an excellent shot saw the ball finish in the top corner.
