PROFESSIONAL darts player Justin Pipe, dubbed the ‘Taunton Tornado’, is ranked 11th in the world based on prize money earned in the last two years.

Pipe, who grew up in North Curry, lost 4-1 to qualifer Devon Petersen in the PDC world championships at Alexandra Palace in London last week.

But he still took his earnings in the last 24 months to £197,000.

Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen contest today's championship final which is worth £250,000 to the winner.
