BURNHAM United had to settle for a point against Clevedon United on Saturday as the sides shared six goals on an action-packed afternoon.
Two goals from Phil Hartnup and one from Dave Bidgood earned a point for Burnham at Coleridge Vale, to keep them in 13th position in the Somerset County First Division heading into Christmas.
Luke Hussey’s side will be hoping to pick up maximum points during the festive period.
They travel to take on third-from-bottom Saltford next Saturday (December 21) before hosting basement side Shepton Mallet Reserves the week after (December 28).
They then kick off 2014 with a trip to Dundry Athletic, who sit two places above Burnham in 11th, on January 4.
l Burnham United Reserves, who were without a game last weekend, face a tough test on Saturday when they face County Division 2W leaders Cleeve West Town.
They are without a game the following Saturday and start the New Year with the visit of Portishead town Res on January 4.
