Emeralds 33, Minstrels 35

EMERALDS started the game strongly with good passing into the circle by Kerry Clark and accurate shooting by Adele Ranford and Steph Riordan.

The second quarter ended 21-16 after strong defensive play by Rhianne Lee and Debbie Prescott.

Emeralds good play continued in the third quarter - good link up play by Jess Atkinson and Michele Martin meant Emeralds led going into the last quarter, 28-22.

Unfortunately Emeralds panicked and unforced errors crept into their game, which ended 35-33 to Minstrels.

Gems 62, Harlequins 61

GEMS started well but only had a ten point lead to show for it after the first quarter.

They built that lead to 12 by the end of the second, but picked up their game in the third and fourth - with plenty of interceptions.

In the final quarter, Gems worked hard and shot well to sneak a one-point win.

Rubies 53, Tone 45

RUBIES put in a strong performance to overcome Tone from Taunton.

Some great shooting in the first half from Abi Ridler and Michelle Parr - and defending from Lynne Cornish helping to lead the way in to the second half.

With some team changes in the next quarter, came some great interceptions from Debbie Perry and Laura Coombes.

With a new line up for the day Garnets made the trip up to Norton in high spirits.
The game started closely with Tilly (GS) and Jess (GA) working well to match Purnell goal for goal.

Purnells 60, Garnets 9

Unfortunately a few errors within centre court caused Purnell to take an early lead that grew and could never be regained, however much Vicky (GK) and Megan (GD) tried to work the ball out of their third.

Throughout the game their was some fantastic centre court play from Kirsty (C) Paige Currie (WA) Nicki (WD) and Jess Bull however it was not enough to stop Purnell pulling off a 61-9 victory.
