RICHARD Fey says everyone at Bridgwater Town FC is looking forward to their pre-season clash with Cheltenham Town tomorrow (Wednesday).

Bridgwater take on the League Two outfit on the back of a 3-1 win against Willand Rovers on Saturday and Fey is looking forward to the challenge.

The manager said: “Myself, Geraint (Bater) and all the players are looking forward to it, especially with it being our first home game of the season.

“It will be a good test for our lads and most importantly, good for our fitness in front of a big crowd.”

Goals from Jon Vance, Kris Miller and Dean Griffiths guided the Robins to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Willand at the weekend, and Fey was pleased with his side’s performance.

He said: “I was pleased with the workout and how well the boys did in hot conditions.

“It was nice to score three goals away from home and it was nice to have a good vocal following.

“Most of the lads played 45 minutes and we will be narrowing the 19-man squad down ready for our first league game on August 17.”

Craig Loxton and Sam Alexander return to the squad for the Cheltenham game having missed the Willand game due to weddings.
