RUGBY: King's College reach semi-finals of Rosslyn Park sevens

MICHAEL Peek gets his pass away during the semi-final against eventual winners Wellington College.
THE King's College Under 18 Sevens squad reached the semi-finals of the Rosslyn Park Sevens Tournament on Wednesday.
In the early stages of the competition they beat Bromsgrove, Eastbourne and Woodbridge School.
Those results set up a last 16 tie against Portsmouth Grammar School which they won 45-0 before going on to beat Reed's School 31-0 in the quarter-finals.
In the semi-finals they faced Wellington College, Berkshire, a side the King's team had beaten earlier in the season in the semi-finals of the Bryanston Sevens.
This time though King's were just edged out by Wellington, who were the eventual winners of the tournament after a rather one-sided final against Tonbridge.
This caps an outstanding season for the King's squad, in which they lost only three games in all tournaments, finishing runners-up in the Bryanston Sevens, and winning the West Of England Tournament.
First team coach Nick Gresswell said: "This is a very special squad of talented and committed players.
"They have worked tirelessly for each other, but above all they have thoroughly enjoyed their rugby and each other's company.
"They are an extremely strong unit and deserve a huge amount of credit for the pride in which they have represented the school."
