Third win for Morganians after 31-22 victory over Taunton

MORGANIANS recorded their third win of the season against Taunton this weekend in a very entertaining fixture.

The visitors started brightly with Will Hopkins scoring two excellent early tries, both converted by James Fox. Taunton scored an unconverted try but Morganians finished the half on a positive note, with James Fox converting a penalty.

The second half saw Morganians grabbed another try after Hopkins burst through the Taunton defence to complete his hat-trick, James Fox again converted the extras.

Taunton responded well by scoring three more tries to bring the scores back to 24-22, but Morganians finished the game off after Royston Grimstead kicked the ball over the Taunton defence and Ben Winter chased brilliantly to score.

They take on Wiveliscombe this weekend.
