Weston and District League round up
IT was a bad weekend of results for our Weston and District football league sides as all of them tasted defeat.
Berrow Reserves had to postpone their Division One clash with Hutton but will now look forward to a league match at Cleeve West Town Reserves on Saturday.
Burnham United 'A' did get a game in for their Division Two match at Portishead Town 'A' but they were left disheartened after a 3-0 defeat.
Their task doesn't get any easier this weekend either as they welcome current league leaders Yatton Athletic.
In Division Four, King Alfred Sports Centre lost out narrowly to second in the table Nailsea United Colts as they went 2-1 down.
The team are fourth from bottom ahead of Saturday's clash which is the reverse of last weekend's fixture but this time King Alfreds will be hoping to get their own back on home soil.
Wedmore Reserves lost to the same 2-1 scoreline when they travelled to AFC Nailsea Reserves.
They take a break from league action this week with a Davis Shield quarter final tie against Nailsea United 'B'.
Wedmore are also scheduled to be back in action on Saturday when they welcome Portishead Town 'B'.
