Bridgwater College 1, Bristol Merchants 2
BRIDGWATER College tasted defeat as they fell to a last-minute goal.
Jack Edwards produced an outstanding display of passing in the first half and eventually managed to cut the Merchants’ defence with a 30 yard lofted pass.
Charlie Wilson went one-on-one with Bristol’s keeper and was brought down leaving captain Lewis Hembery to kick the penalty neatly into the bottom right corner of the net.
Unfortunately the Bristol side equalised through a counter-attack just before the half-time whistle.
Injuries to Adam Warden, Lewis Hembery and David Coley thwarted Bridgwater’s efforts in the second half but despite several top saves from Tom Judge, Bristol found a winner in the dying minutes to snatch the points.
