Uxella Sunday Football League round up
ONLY one game survived the waterlogged pitches in the Uxella Bridgwater Sunday League caused by the big thaw aided and heavy rain on Saturday night.
In the second round of the all-divisions, Dave Hobbs Cup top flight side Abbey Moor saw their outlying home base in Pitney faring much better than the pitches in the Bridgwater district and duly went ahead with their tie against second division visitors Huntspill BPH.
While the FA Cup was throwing up upsets this weekend, there were no such shocks here as Abbey eventually emerged 3-0 victors thanks to goals from Stu Taylor, Simon Cruwys and Rob Lukins.
