BOWLS: Taunton return to action
FOLLOWING the disastrous flooding of the indoor hall at Taunton Bowling Club play is underway again following a seven week break.
In a friendly match against Winscombe, Taunton ran out 46-43 winners in a keenly contested game.
And a Somerset and Devon mixed fours league game against Puriton saw Taunton win 47-21.
Scores: Anne Berry, Alec Berry, Alvin Affleck and Pete Shaw won 24-12; Meryl Cridland, Brian Cridland, Harry Scragg and Don Ormesher won 23-9.
